Professional chef Cole is a thirty-year-old Petoskey native who loves the outdoors. "I just like getting out into the woods," he shared. "In the winter I'm on snowshoes or skis, hiking boots in the summer—I just like to get out and enjoy it."

He started experimenting with drugs and alcohol in high school. He hit a crisis point in his late twenties, entered residential rehab and moved on to a recovery home.

"From start to finish, ATS had the tools and capabilities to help me with my recovery. I had support from all sides here. The entire staff seems very caring and wants you to succeed," he said. "You can try to stay sober, but it's just difficult on your own, especially when working in the food service industry. The T-house has been, at least for me, pretty much the perfect program to get me back on track."
