Mark came to ATS from Gaylord, Michigan. Having worked for several Northern Michigan resorts—most recently as director of development and IT at Garland Resort—he gathered many of the critical skills he constantly utilizes at ATS. With Garland Resort, Mark was responsible for all aspects of real estate development, including the planning, permitting, and building of several subdivisions and even a golf course. Mark has worked in the IT field for fifteen years, primarily as the administrator for some fairly complex networks involving multiple servers and numerous interfaces. Prior to that he worked as a restaurant manager, general manager, and area supervisor in the Lansing area, directing over 250 employees at six locations. Mark attended Michigan State University and Lansing Community College. He served two years as the treasurer for Otsego County’s Friendship Shelter, leaving them with a positive cash flow for those years. He has also passed Michigan’s Licensed Builder’s exam. Mark has been married for more than 30 years, has three children and loves to spend time with family and friends, preferably on a golf course or a lake.
